On Tuesday 8th July 2008 the first national Children’s University certificates were awarded at the CU in Medway. This followed their launch on Friday 4th July at the national CU Managers’ meeting held at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester – the home of the national Children’s University.
Ger Graus, Chief Executive of the national Children's University said:
"This is great news. Our plan is for children to go home and show mums, dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles their certificate and everyone knows that it stands for saying 'well done' for choosing to take part in quality learning activities outside of school. This is what we want the CU to represent!"
